Last Cruise of Summer 2023
August 21, 2023
We completed Cruise #3 of 2023 and it was a fine day to be out steaming on the river!
Captain Clark Caffall throws out a wave from the wheelhouse.
In the engine room, Kyle Nasman, Lloyd Harshberger and Kevin Wray man the operating platform.
Meanwhile in the fire room, Bob Slover holds a steady 200 pounds of steam in the boiler.
At the mouth of the Willamette, the Steamer turns around to head back up river.
With a seasoned hand on the tiller, Captain Clark guides the Steamer past Swan Island.
Chief Engineer Kevin takes a turn at the throttle under Kyle's watchful eye as another successful trip comes to an end.
Love seeing the Portland out on the river.
